Assistant professor Sharon O’Malley is Campus Current’s faculty adviser. When she is not helping out in the newsroom, O’Malley teaches journalism, media and public speaking classes. Before joining the AACC faculty in 2016, O’Malley taught journalism and public speaking at University of Maryland, College Park. O’Malley has bachelor’s and master’s degrees in journalism from UMCP and in 2019 earned a professional certificate in graduate studies for multimedia journalism there. She has been published in dozens of magazines and newspapers, and has ghostwritten four business books, including a Wall Street Journal business bestseller. Contact her at sromalley1@aacc.edu
