How to Vote
Follow this infographic for all the information you need to confidently exercise your right to vote.
First, check your registration status.
The deadline to update your registration has passed, but you can still register to vote in person on the same day you go to vote.
Next, decide if you want to vote by mail or in person.
To vote by mail...
You have to request your mail-in ballot from the Board of Elections.
Tuesday, Oct. 20 is the deadline to request your mail-in ballot.

Or, use the paper application you recieved in the mail to request your mail-in ballot. Return it by Oct. 20.
This year, you can also return your ballot in a drop box. A link to a list of locations is here.
Tuesday, Nov. 3 is the deadline to return your mail-in ballot, either by mail or in a drop box.
To vote in person...
This year you can vote at any polling place in your county. A link to find a polling place near you is here.
Tuesday, Nov. 3 is Election Day.
To vote early...
Oct. 26-Nov.2 is the early voting period in Maryland.
Early voting centers will be open from 7 a.m.-8 p.m., the same hours as Election Day. If you missed the voter registration deadline you can still register in person during early voting. A link to find the early voting center nearest you is here.
