AACC won a national award in February for its operating and capital budgets from the Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada.

Melissa Beardmore, vice president of learning resources management, said she feels “fantastic” and “very proud” to win the Distinguished Budget Presentation Award.

“The team members here … work incredibly hard and have very high standards of excellence,” Beardmore said.

The award recognizes budgets that “provide an excellent example for other governments,” according to GFOA.
