On Wednesday, members of the AACC community gathered in the quad for the Clothesline Project.

This display is centered around domestic violence to honor survivors and memorialize victims, as well as raise social awareness. 

The Clothesline Project is a service-learning opportunity that allows students to learn while also giving back to the community in a hands-on way. 

As the project takes place, a clothesline is hung with shirts that have been decorated by students, faculty, staff, and members of the community to highlight the issue of domestic violence.

With this project, every shirt is decorated to represent an individuals personal experience with domestic violence, may they be a victim or an affected loved one. The rainbow of shirts surrounding those in the quad are there to create an environment of security and support. 

The Clothes Line project has community partners in the YWCA of Annapolis and Anne Arundel County that make the project possible.
