Recent snowfall not only played havoc with AACC’s academic schedule, it also ruined the season opener for the Pioneer baseball season and threatens the start of other sports, according to Athletic Director Duane Herr.

The season opening back-to-back double headers against Mercer Community College scheduled for February 21 and 22 were postponed due to snow.

“So far we have only canceled the baseball opening weekend,” Herr said. “To date we do not have a reschedule [date]”.

The women’s lacrosse pre-season was also altered by the weather with their scrimmage against Essex being moved from Feb 26 to March 2. Officials hope not to have any more interruptions to the sports schedules.

“All games for next week are on as scheduled” said Herr. “At least at the moment”.
