AACC will host the Region 20 Men’s Lacrosse Championship next month.
The men’s lacrosse team, along with three other colleges, will compete in a semi-final and final to decide the winner for the region and who will qualify for the National Championship.
“Winning [the region] would set the precedent for the program,” Jack Schiacone, a second-year business administration student and returning defender, said. “We’d be getting a lot more recruits yearly.”
Men’s lacrosse head coach Jeremy Ross hopes to use their home ground to the team’s advantage.
“We don’t have to travel, you know, the guys are all around here, so that kind of cuts away, you know, some timing aspects of it,” Ross said. “Any time we get to play at home, it’s absolutely a home-field advantage.”
The semi-finals begin on April 28, and the winners will face off in the final on April 30.
