AACC student business owners hosted a pop-up market on Monday.
Cameron Hanley, a second-year entrepreneurial studies student organized the event. The “Autumn Market” is the second pop-up market hosted on campus. The first was in October. Four student-owned businesses had booths.
Will Mumford, a third-year transfer studies student, said it’s interesting to interact with students and see what they like.
“I just like making stuff, Mumford said. “Even though I usually don’t wear the earrings, I just really enjoy putting together the designs and figuring out what I think looks good together. And then also I find it really interesting to see what other people like and what they’re interested in.”
Lucas Panzer-Valdivia, a second-year business administration student, offers tours of Costa Rica to introduce students to the culture.
“The reason it’s called “Amanacer Tours,” is because Amanecer means sunrise in Spanish, and I used to live in Costa Rica,” Panzer-Valdivia said. “I remember waking up every morning and going out into my front yard with my shoes off, and I could feel the wet grass, the sunrise, uh, rising over the misty mountains and just feeling connected to nature and that’s something I never got when I moved here to the U.S … so I want to offer that perspective and the chance to have fun to people that live in this very stressful country.”
