An instructional specialist spoke about drones to an audience of students at a campus event on Thursday.
Tim Tumelty, who has worked at AACC for six years, reviewed the rules for flying drones and how to use the devices for school-related promotions.
At the event, hosted by the Computer Science Club, Tumelty said his favorite part of the event was “flying, doing the demonstration and letting the students see the drone fly.”
AJ Gill, the president of the Computer Science Club, said he invited Tumelty to speak to the club about “technology-related stuff.”
“I think it went well,” Gill, a third-year computer science student, said. “We discussed a lot of interesting stuff.”
Madeleine Woolley, the club’s vice president, agreed.
“It’s always nice hearing about tech stuff and presenting different interests,” Woolley said.
Woolley said she hopes the Computer Science Club can work together more with faculty.
