An AACC survey of 586 Anne Arundel County residents in October showed crime as the top local concern.
The survey, conducted by AACC’s Center for the Study of Local Issues, said county residents, including AACC students, think crime is a “key problem facing the county.”
Political science professor Dan Nataf, the director of the Center, said surveys like this are important to “add precision to a generalization.”
“You never know the exact numbers until you ask,” Nataf said. “It makes it more exacting.”
The survey also revealed inflation as a top concern for county residents, with 67% of respondents saying they were “very concerned” by it.
The survey also covered topics such as abortion, gun control, unions and the Israel-Hamas conflict.
